HBE is an Irish yard for riders and owners who want honest horsemanship: private lessons, pony starters, groundwork, and schooling on your own horse or pony.
The yard
Quiet, practical work for horses, ponies, and the people who ride them.
HBE was set up for the in-between riders: the child on a first pony, the adult coming back after years away, the owner whose horse is talented and tense. We keep groups small, sessions unhurried, and the plan written down so you know what to practise before the next visit.
You will not be rushed onto a schoolmaster that does the thinking for you. If a horse needs more time on the ground, we stay on the ground. If a rider needs a slower mounting block and a longer walk, that is the lesson.

How booking works
Accounts first. Then the calendar.
- Create an account Registration uses a standard WordPress login, so your details stay behind a password.
- Pick a lesson type Private, pony starter, groundwork, or schooling — each has its own length and price.
- Take an open timeslot The weekly schedule only shows times that are still free. A booking consumes the slot.
